About the project Educators deserve accessible expertise.

Dr. Jill Kerper Mora is a professor emerita at San Diego State University and a nationally recognized authority in bilingual cross-cultural education. Her website, MoraModules, serves as both a digital classroom and a publishing platform โ€” offering her textbook Spanish Language Pedagogy for Biliteracy Programs, membership-based study resources, and a curated library of professional-development tools for educators working with language-minority students.

The challenge was bridging the gap between academic depth and practical usability. Educators visiting the site needed to quickly understand membership tiers (starting at $10/month), preview the book’s companion website, and access mini-lectures, study guides, and learning activities without confusion. We built a fully custom WordPress theme with Advanced Custom Fields so Dr. Mora and her team can update resources, publish new content, and manage membership offerings without technical bottlenecks.

The e-commerce layer integrates with Montezuma Publishing for print-on-demand textbook orders and digital access passes, while the membership system gates premium content behind tiered subscriptions. Every page โ€” from the mission statement to the resource library โ€” is optimized for educators browsing on school networks, with fast load times, accessible typography, and a clear visual hierarchy that respects the academic tone of the brand.
